Go Carp!

I went to a Japanese baseball game for the first time two weeks ago.  I watched the Hiroshima Carp beat the Yakult Swallows 10-7.  It was a great game and I really enjoyed watching it. 

It was very similar to MLB baseball, expect there was much more of an emphasis on "small ball," which is plays like bunts and sacrifice fly balls.  American games are much more focused on the home run instead of moving runners along.  It was an interesting experience.


I was also excited because I got to take the Shinkansen to Hiroshima, and it was only my second time doing so.  I love taking the Shinkansen - it's like a spaceship!
