Canada Day

Oh Canada, I salute you.
Well, Canada day has come and gone here in Japan but back home in Vancouver, the celebrations are just getting started!!! I find myself remembering the best times of my life in Vancouver and using it as inspiration to do accomplish the goals ahead of me. I find this inspiration from the accomplishments of mine and my fellow Canadians, the most recent of which was the Gold Metal victory of the Canadian Men’s Ice Hockey team in the 2010 Winter Olympics held in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada.  The venue for this game is used by the UBC Thunderbirds hockey team as a training facility making me reminiscent of my days attending UBC and playing with the Thunderbirds volleyball team, winning the Provincial Championships and flying to Montreal for the Nationals tournament! Those were some of the best times!  Though it was a long time ago the appetite to play competitive V-Ball still lingers and has me searching desperately for a place to play here in Mihara or anywhere in Hiroshima! My point is, if you ever need motivation, remember your past accomplishments (no matter how big or small) and use them to smash the barriers in front of you!
That’s all for today!  I wish my Canadian friends all the best this Canada day and keep up the good work in being great people and hockey players in North America!
